Comment 1 Jose
Thanks Jose, you really helped to see the Earth's rotation and how it affects the day and night
Cycle 2 Week 10
1. What is the difference between a lunar eclipse and a new moon?
The difference between the new moon and the lunar eclipse is that the lunar elcipse is when the Earth is between the moon and the sun and that it shows nothing but only for a few seconds. A new moon is the side without sunlight reflecting off of it and happens all of the night.

Nice job of explaining but if you use the format, your writing would have been better.
Comment 1 Jose
You did good Jose. The only thing you did wrong was the spelling errors and sentence fragments.
Cycle 2 Week 9
The purpose of the sundial is to time and how it works is that the sun shines on the tip of the line and casts a shadow that looks like a line on the clock and I learned that from the class. They make the lines on the sundial by using the north, south, east, and west. The class lesson said that the sun doesn't rotate but that the Earth rotates around the sun. This shows that the sun is a useful tool in order to plan the things in time. This reminds of being in PBC and learning value lessons in order to survive out in the real world.

Cycle 2 Week 8
Using technology helped me to realize all that technology and humanity can do the impossible when we work together. I did good in all of my blogs. The blogs helped me towrite and that my audience can read and put posts in my blogs to see what I can do better. I think that I can do better in typing my feelings and trying to become a better writer. Iwould like to talk with each other using blogs so that we can do our work silently and talking to teammates at the same time.

Cycle 2 Week7
One of the famous oil spills is called the Amoco Cadiz and it was caused by faliure steering machine and it crashed into the rocks. The damage and the spill was the 1,619,048 barrels of oil and was located in Portsall Rocks, Brittany, France. The story said,"Severe weather resulted in complete breakup of the ship before any oil can be dumped out of the wreck." This shows that there were not only errors in protecting the ship from leaking oil but also while cleaning up the oil. This reminds me of the our oil lab that even thought we didn't refect or notice it, the oil went to the lab tables and they were hard to clean up, and so that shows the problem of cleaning up the surface or land covered in oil.

Cycle 2 Week 6
Some of the types of engineers are computer engineers, audio engineers, and civil engineers that make good sound material, computers, and houses or buildings. The type of engineer i would want to be is an audio engineer because I like sounds and music traveling into my ears, the sounds are powerful and they're fun to listen to.The website says,"But it may surprise you to learn that the creation of audio is a unique endeavor that blends both art and science." As proof, this shows that the sounds are hard to come by and it will fascinate you beyond your wildest dreams. This reminds me of the music and art, expressing the emotion and the drive to try, to excel in you life.

Cycle 2 Week 5-blogging in schools
One of my ideas in blgging in class is that we can show our work and let people comment on you're work. Also, it helps you to discuss your work with your teachers. It can be private and no one will know that your grades. Blogging helps in schools because they can show their progress in education. Also it helps in making communication easier in or around the schools.

Cycle 2 Week 4
The title of the video I saw was called Hooked on Science and it is about how the color affects the sun's radiation toward it. They used different colors and see which one is hotter. The professor said that he taught color density and how it affects how much heat you get from the sun. The science is that the sun's radiation can affect how much heat you're getting, depending on the color. That is what I learned from my school and the video.

Comment 2 Michael Morris Jr. week 3
You did a good job but you could have done better. You need to give a direct qoute from the passage to be more specific and explain it better. And you were only suppose to talk about one of the prompts.
Comment 1 Jose Carranza week 3
Good job Jose, but you could have done better. You did have some grammar errors and didn't put evidence. Also, you didn't put insight.
Cycle#2- Week#3- Prompt#2
The main idea of the passage is that light is causing pollution in the night. In the passage," Migrating birds sometimes fly over cities and become confused by the brightness, flying in circles until they drop from exhaustion." As proof, this shows that the light is affecting all of the wildlife near the cities. Another quote is, “It hampers our view of some of life’s most spectacular sights: stars, planets, and even galaxies." This quote shows how it affects the children not seeing the stars and learning about them. This reminds me of greedy people. If you give them a lot of money, their mind will become corrupted, polluted that all they think is money, not their life.

Cycle 2-Week 2
The name of my game is called The Blitz and the characters of the game are Crudel, Cornix, Giber, and Lammert. The educational game will be about strategizing and about whom you can trust based on their power and reputation with their army and colony. The students can make their own characters and the challenge is s high adrenaline game that anything could pop up you will only have little bits of time to choose the road/answer. The message of this game causes them to think faster and to show that you will always have problems with the world. Students will overcome these challenges by playing it and knowing what you will do in an amount of time. The only tools they would need are their brain and in the game, they will have an army, money, and treaties. The students will learn to handle a life situation in a matter of minutes. What makes the game fun is that if you lose and keep on playing, it will become addictive and you won't stop playing it until you win.

My game is called World of Warcraft and the website is www.worldofwarcraft.com. The goal of the game is to be the highest level, learn two professions and learn first aid, cooking, and fishing. I learn about auction houses and how they work. Also, I know that you can find minerals and herbs in certain places and in different climates. This game can be used to be educational by showing them financial rules of the bank and auction houses. Also it shows them how to progress and use different professions to make money. Last, it shows you how to use your talents and make strategies.

1.My answers were correct because we have the same examples and how we explain the is similar to each other's blog.
2.My best blog is the week #2 blog because I used strong scientific terms and also explained more than Ms.Douglas' answers.
3.What I can do in order to improve my writing is to not make any more mistakes and to not use little words or weak vocabulary.

Week5_Prompt#2
When the glass of water's kinetic energy increases and the table's kinetic energy decreases, that is in the change of temperature. The table is warmer than the glass of water, and that will equalize the temperatures of both substances. So, the glass of water's temperature increases while the table's temperature decreases. In this question, the transfer of energy is thermal and kinetic energy. That is how the glass of water's kinetic energy and the table's kinetic energy changed.

Week4-Need for Speed
Well, the problem the design squad was trying to fix was that they needed to make what they have and turn it into a fast, accelerated vehicle. In the choices, the red team has the bicycle, which is good because they have the lesser wieght vehicle and that causes more speed, but the blue team has the wagon which is good for turning the wheels and you can make more blueprints with the wagon. The strategies that they used is that the planned out the way they are going to make the vehicle. Also they worked and tested on the vehicles to make sure that they did or didn't have any errors on the experiment. The way the deisgn squad worked together was that they worked on the ideas and not fight over on the experiment and they used someone's idea, even if they didn't like it.
The way I would appoarch this problem is by first making more than at least five ideas. Then I would use the materials I needed in order to make the copy. After all of that is done, I would test each of the experiments all at one time and choose which is the best. What I learned from this episode is that you can't let anyone decide for you, that you have to speak your thoughts and who knows, you may have the idea that could win the challenge. Finally, the last thing that I learned is that if your team is going down, then you should help lift their spirits and say that it is not over.

Week#3_Prompt#1_Song#2
Converting energy is my only introduction.
It's all about electric energy to sound's production.
In electric energy, everything is negatively charged.
Particles go first to the electric guitar.
The movement goes to the amplifier.
Sound waves, go higher and higher.
All the electrons, move to the sound,
Because this is the end to my particle's round.

Week#2_Prompt#3
Heating a pot of soup will overflow because the soup is in the process called thermal expanison. The pot that they are using is made of metal, which is a good thermal conductor, and on that point the temperature is rising really fast. Thermal expansion is when the temperature is increasing, the object is expanding. For example, when you leave the car outside, the heat is rising up in the car which is making the car expand. That is how heating a pot of soup can make the soup overflow

Week#1_Prompt#2
What happens when the ball is about to go down, it has potental energy. Now based in my reasearch, potental energy is when you are holding the energy inside the object. When you let go of the ball and that it bounces, that is kinetic energy. From my reading, it says that the kinetic energy is when the object is moving which is the moving energy. Also in my reasearch, I found when all of that is mixed together, you get the mechanical energy

Technology in Science
The reason why I like science is because it has so many things in math which is the subject I why the most. They have equations and it also has cool labs and chemicals. The last reason why I love science is because in science, I get to explore new thing s that I have never learned before. The reason why I like technology is because it makes life so much easier. Another reason why I like science is because with technology, there some many thinge we can accomplish in so little time with technology.
